the dos attacks of the past week/two weeks prompted me to move onto a better platform for our hosting needs..
the result, new servers. bigger, faster, more maps, more plugins, more FPS, less lag.
New Server Features-psychostats
-PTB team balancer
-smart weapon limiting [2awp/1auto]
-HLMP no-cache media streaming
-/server redirection
-grenade priming
-grenade drops
-damage meter
-boosted over 500 frames per second
-600 ticrate
-HLBooster (15ms frame-lag fix)
-more of those favorite maps such as de_blue
-1 slot for admins to join when the server reaches 20 slots
-NEW AUTHENTICATION LIBRARY!! these servers run on protocol 48, which means you can add it to your favorites on steam. all administrators may now use steamid access instead of name/ip. old protocol 47 clients are still supported
right now, there is no redirection. i am giving everyone roughly a month to add the new servers before i force-populate them by re-routing all players from the current servers to the new servers.
the forced redirection will start on september 9th, the main 20 slot we currently have closes down on october 6th. that gives everyone 2 months to update their favorites, i figure thats a fair amount of time
Some Updates, Plans, Etc-Adding Ventrilo server instead of teamspeak [as soon as i have internet at home this will be done]
-Removing the shitty shoutbox, installing web-based IRC chat room [very fast and reliable..]
-New forum skin
-New website/php+SMF integration, live server stats, psychostats etc
-Backend login for Server admins [still debating this...]
-Protocol 48-WON client release [so everyone can get with the modern protocol..]
-AIO Client side patch for menu/server address buttons, sprays etc
-Adding a CounterStrike: Source server [yes..nonsteam of course]
-COD4 cracked, possibly COD4 2 when it comes out, thats a while off though

lots of time and effort has been put forward and i still have lots more work to do...however, none of this would be possible without the help of my buddy at
www.csoug.comif you are sick of playing cs and want some deeper gaming, check out his servers.. he runs a very high end and popular Conquer server, and his WoW server should be coming online soon... last i checked i am in line to help him run the WoW server so i will be there spending lots of time..
the future holds great things, like i have always said...be patient..
edit: i forgot to mention, our budget is now $60 per month. if you have a job, please just throw a couple bucks our way each month... we really need it.
i will be setting up a VIP package for anyone who donates 5$ or more per month, it will consist of unlimited money, custom models, weapons from both teams for purchase, and access to the reserved slot.
