My mic just stopped working for no reason, im using windows vista and i went to Recording Devices and it says that my mic is working and that its the default recording device, and its not muted or unplugged. I had this problem b4 so i just went to speech recognition in control panel and tried to set up a new mic but it didnt work... i can still hear through the headphones btw and when i went the audio maniger or w/e i unchecked the block backround noise thing and i could hear some noise but the mic is still not working -- im using sound driver its called realtek and i tried to roll it back but it still didnt fix anything.

Is your mic detatchable?
Throw it to the side and wait for a few months. Nature fixes it automatically.

Put it in the oven for 20 minutes. Let's see if your headphones work.
