Well this is the spot to come to

first of all lets make sure we all know what scrimming is

Scrimming is a more competitive/intellectual way of playing CS

all you need is a group of team mates and a group of enemies

sounds like regular playing right?

wrong.....

Whats different from playing regular and scrimming is that there's more thinking involved.

At the start of the round there is a good 10-15 seconds (depending on the server) called freezetime where you're immobile during that time a strat is called

What is a strat?

a strat is basically the strategy that you and your team are going to do that round the strat is called

for instance

lets say you're on T side with 4 other people

and they call a strat such as

Walk B...

Well, the idea is everyone on the team is going to walk B...no changes...unless told otherwise..

the strat caller makes the rules and the team should abide by it that way no one gets killed like a nab

so everyone's walking b...together as a team.

Scrimming is a TEAM effort and must be carried out like one

no one is the hero, no one is the team , although an ace from a member helps sometimes.

How do i become a better player in scrims?

scrimming takes practice and patience

T side can be aggressive and careful....walking is a key to fool the CT's

walking smokes flashes etc... it's all about making them rotate to where the noise is at while the rest of your team can sneak the bomb down and guard the site...

the plan is to overwhelm the other team or sneak a bomb plant.

CT side is more defensive however there are very few teams that can work the offensive just right...but it's almost always works...(note: very hard to accomplish with a team)

When you play on CT side during the 12 second freezetime you need a certain amount of people watching a bomb site as well as the other

so out of 5 people....you may want to stick more at the bombsite that has more ways to get in...such as long A on de_dust2...there's cat and long and there's plenty of open areas that can easily be taken over...so you may put only 2 at mid/b while sticking 3 at bomb site A

so during that team you may want to call a spot whether it's at B/Mid/Cat/ or long....and make sure you watch your spot...

Watching your spot

watching your spot whether it's at bomb site A or B...takes patience and communication...

CT side is a team game

for instance lets say you are guarding your spot and you hear a group of enemies come your way you may want to call where you hear the noise and if you can determine how many...well that helps immensely...

that way your teammates can focus on that area until the threat is diminished or at least to help out the teammates...

WHAT TO BUY!!!

ok...here's a very crucial tip

the most common weapons used in a scrim are the glock/usp/deagle/colt/ak47/awp/mp5

The key is to know when or when not to buy

You Must Buy As A Team!!!

i cannot stress this enough

if someone in your team is unable to buy...dont buy because you have the money...at the very least everyones gets a nade or flash depending on the strat and what side you're on

1st round everyone has their starting pistols now what to buy...

ct's would need nades flashes and kits

KITS! 1 Per SITE!

dont over buy communicate on who will get the kits

know where they play so u can pick them up incase they drop it

lets say you win the first round

usually u have about 3400+ most people tend to buy m4's and w/e

DONT ever buy a rifle the second round

it's too risky....to lose that to the enemy and give them a higher chance of winning the round

either stick w/ the pistol with armor and restock nades or buy an mp5 or a stronger pistol such as the deagle

The Key To Scrimming:

Save as a TEAM, Buy as a TEAM, and lastly Work as a TEAM

Hope this has helped some of you.
