Well the first problem I was wondering if anyone had come across is that after playing on maybe 3 different servers on steam, I have to restart my computer in order to get passed the initial creating connection part of the loading screen. It seems for some reason that my computer is refusing new connections. I can be connected to ventrillo and be talking (and replied to) but I'm incapable of connecting to anything else, not just cs servers. A ping to my modem, and anything outside of it results in a timeout. Could it be the double-NAT my network has?

The other thing I was wondering about is that occasionally someone will come over and play cs at my house, but on occasion when they connect to the same server as myself it will kick the one currently on the server. The person that was dropped initially won't be able to connect to the server for about 10 minutes or so, and the person that connected secondly will be able to connect perfectly fine. Any ideas?

it sounds to me like your network has some wack shit going on...

im not exactly a network specialist, if im good at anything its hardware troubleshooting.

since you have an issue with a separate system as well as yours, i would assume its not your hardware/software, it might be your router/modem...
