i need help with my comp
i doesnt go to stand by mode, i dont know why but when its in stand by, monitrs is off but everything esle is on WTF??
any suggestions, and the comp is my built

Your monitor probably doesn't support the standby feature..Either that or your computer doesn't fully have one..Just don't use it. It happens with mine to.

i also went to BIOS like someone told me, i went to power management but no luck there either

yes, i have turn off, restart, and standby, but when i hit stand by, it turns off except that the power supply stays on along with all the fans

you guys are over thinking it..
Use hibernation mode instead of standby mode.
Standby doesnt power your computer down, it just puts it in powersave mode. Hibernation saves your session to hard disk, so the machine can actually power down without losing whatever you were doing

yes, i build my computer, but i got so used to just puting my old factory made comp to standby, no i have to wait everytime i turn it on  im gonna try hibernation though oh and its not the windows, its the computer

lol noobs i finally figured it out, i went ot BIOS and changed the sleep mode from S1 to S3, now it does it like its supposed to

can u write some more about it? wtf is s1 and s3??? i got fuckin problem on my computer.... i put it in sleep and after it doesnt wanna do any shit, until i restart it  ok, so i went to BIOS -> Power Management there i had ACPI Suspend Type option, default was set to S1, power on suspend, system stays suspended and stays in low power mode i changed it to the other option S3 - suspend to RAM - system appears to be off and consumes less power than S1 sleep state now i can just have it on sleep all the time when im not using it and turn it on at the touch of a button

every computer turns on with the touch of a button, thats what they added the power button for. sleep is almost 100% uneeded.
