my friend gave me her laptop cause it has the following problem
the laptop starts normally and runs normally for a while
but after a certain time i start to see lines on the screen.
if u click the start button there there will be more lines on the screen n they wont go untill i restart the laptop.
ive noticed that if i uninstall my graphics card driver then everything runs fine without a prob.

so is it a graphics problem or a mother board prob? cause when my friend took it to the repair shop he told he needs a new motherboard. but m not sure if motherboard or graphics card is the problem.

and if graphics card is the prob can u guys please suggest me where can i find one. i tried on ebay but couldnt find. btw my current graphics card on the laptop is a ATI catalyst

are there other cards that can be used too?

catalyst is the ati's software program equivalent to the "nvidia control panel" , It's not your card.

btw you can't install a new gfx card on a laptop cause they're integrated.

first of all i need to look at it using telnet or teamviewer!!!
Also I need to know if u get any errors on POST test...

this is what i mean to say that it has a graphics card inside. btw those are mxm cards. doesnt have to be integrated to motherboard anymore

drivers issue.

had this with stock drivers on my 9800gtx. i updated them, it went away.
